Laufey led the Frost Giants to Earth in medieval times, only to be repelled by Odin and the Asgardians. Odin took from Laufey the Casket of Ancient Winters (the source of their power), as well as taking Laufey's son, Loki. Laufey was there when Thor attacked Jotunheim along with the Warriors Three, and Laufey set the monolithic Frost Giant beast on them. When Odin arrived, Laufey warned the king that it meant war.
Laufey was later approached by Loki, the god of mischief, offering the Frost Giant a deal; Loki would sneak Laufey and some of his warriors into Asgard, where Laufey would slay the recuperating Odin. In return, Laufey could leave with the Casket of Ancient Winters. Laufey agreed and traveled to Asgard - but when Laufey is preparing his blade, Loki killed the Frost Giant, making it seem like he saved the king. Laufey died, betrayed by his son. He was played by Colm Feore and appeared in Thor.
